[ Pizza has definitely been loud going in and out prior to this, so it's no secret where his room is. It's also no secret that he's been tucked away pretty much the entire day, which is completely unheard of. Normally he can be seen bouncing around all over the place, but that motive was.... yeah.
The knock surprises him, but it doesn't take him too long to answer. He opens it, then just stands there in the doorway blinking a moment. Behind him it's easy to see that his room is in a state of considerable disarray, the bedding all over the floor. Pizza himself though looks relatively fine, if just extremely confused. ]
[...Well, given that it is Iago at the door "extremely confused" is very fair.]
I understand that the... announcement today has been troubling you. [Probably. He's been in his room so he hasn't seen whether Pizza's been coming or going, but he's assuming here!!] Is there... [ugh] anything I can do for you.
[It's not even a question, just sort of a deadpan statement... But he went to the effort of trying so surely that means something??]
...manipulating others is a terrible thing to do, but if you like that then you probably like pranks too, right? [ His memory might not be terrible and he might be insightful sometimes. ]
[...Well, as long as Pizza doesn't mention it to anyone else, it's probably fine...]
Oh, agreed. That is a good question, though... Hmm. Perhaps we should choose what sort of prank to set up first. You do seem to be quite experienced with this - what would you like to do?
Then let's do it! [ Pizza looks about ready to start vandalizing the kitchen now. ]
Oh, but we should wait until everyone's asleep right?
...so we should just talk 'til it's late. [ Most of his normal energy has rebounded, but this is pretty soft. It's clearly an ask and not a steamroll like his usual chatter. ]
That would ruin the fun. [ Which you can't have. But what Iago can have is a radiant smile, they really are friends huh? That's what Pizza is taking this as. ]
You should get comfortable first. Sit wherever you want! [ A bit too late he makes sure the door is shut and bounds fully inside his room. As mentioned before, his bedding is all over the fall for some reason but the rest of the room is serviceable. There's an errant chair in here too, if Iago goes with the reasonable approach of not sitting on someone else's bed. ]
Anyway, he glances around the room before taking that chair, sitting primly. He's doing his very best not to make any judgey faces about the state of the room, okay. Of course, he's also not looking very comfortable at all, but when has Iago ever looked comfortable? Never. It's fine.]
Thank you for inviting me in. I suppose.
[He says, like he really has no idea what to say now that he's here...]
You're welcome ☆. [ Pizza's going to plop down on the bed, practically sprawling rather than sitting. ]
We could play a game, but we're going to do that later. So maybe we should talk about something else... [ ! ] I know, who else are you friends with here, Iago?
Dist is the purple one and Cumore is the stuffy wannabe knight commander, right? [ These are descriptions, sure. And not at all, but Pizza can't really diss people's fashion style given his own. ]
[...Well, you couldn't be more wrong about "friendly" but he'll choose to take it as a compliment!!]
My mask certainly is much nicer-looking, thank you. As for my clothes, most Sorcerers wear something somewhat similar. Mine is personalized, of course. It really is a shame it's entirely too cold to wear it most of the time.
If you ever get really cold, I can let you borrow my hat! [ Right now it's currently thrown on his desk, and it's giant and ridiculous but also probably decent at keeping you warm. Almost as warm and bright as his smile given that Iago accepted the complimented. ]
But now that you mention it... maybe she's just copying you and is a pretend sorcerer. Why else would she wear something like that?
I can't exactly wear a hat with this mask, but I suppose I appreciate the offer.
[And obviously the mask isn't going anywhere, so!!!
Anyway, the second part is easier to focus on, so let's go with that!!]
I don't believe she's a sorcerer at all; her exceptionally rude words in regard to magic would never come from any mage. But I do wonder... Perhaps she's hiding something under there.
Oh...then you can have my cape! [ It is small and very colorful and less useful but it's the thought that counts, at least to Pizza. Let's talk about the Lady though because clearly I need to shittalk her on both my characters. ]

You didn't like it either, right? [ Maybe a guess or maybe he was somewhat aware in his haze earlier. ]
Let's do something we both like, then.
no subject
[No sense hiding it, given his reaction earlier today.
That, though... Well, it probably shouldn't be unexpected, given what Pizza's already told him, but somehow it catches him off-guard anyway.]
...Very well, is there something you have in mind?
[You know what, sure. He can humor Pizza for a little while. That's sort of the whole point in coming to check on him, isn't it?]

[It's just a token protest at this point, though.]
But yes, I can't deny that pranks are entertaining. I am a bit old for that, but why not.
no subject
Then let's prank someone! Who should we pick? It should be someone who's all stuffy, they're always fun to make laugh.
no subject
Oh, agreed. That is a good question, though... Hmm. Perhaps we should choose what sort of prank to set up first. You do seem to be quite experienced with this - what would you like to do?
no subject
Hmm....we could switch all the salt with sugar sugar! Or make caramel onions instead of caramel apples! Or spread butter all outside someones door!
no subject
[do not encourage this???]
I'm sure quite a few of our fellow captives will find that funny.
[Or maybe it's just because he'll find it funny but no one ever said Iago was a good person.]
no subject

[That, though... Well, there's something nice about it being more of a request than Pizza's usual. So Iago sighs and then lifts his shoulders.]
Very well. What do you want to talk about, then?

no subject
No one? I hardly know anyone here well enough to consider them friends.
[...waitaminute.]
We aren't friends either, why are you so insistent on that?
no subject
Awww, you're still making me wait? [ But hey Iago came here and checked on him and they're doing a prank later so he won't push. ]
It's only been a short time, but there's not that many people. I guess... who else do you talk to a lot beside me then?
[ He can rephrase for friend allergic people, Cassata taught him well. ]
no subject
Well, alright fine, that's an acceptable rephrasing of the question, so he'll answer!!]
Dist and I speak frequently. I suppose I've spoken with Cumore a fair bit as well.
[...is it any wonder he's drawn to the fashion disaster villains in lipstick??]
no subject
no subject
Well, you're absolutely correct about Cumore.
...Though now I'm curious, how are you describing me?
[iago why would you even ask that, there is no way that's going to end well?????]
no subject
The friendly man in the exotic outfit, who has a better mask than the stupid Lady. I've never seen clothes like yours before...they're really neat!
no subject
My mask certainly is much nicer-looking, thank you. As for my clothes, most Sorcerers wear something somewhat similar. Mine is personalized, of course. It really is a shame it's entirely too cold to wear it most of the time.
